On August 17-19, Sara and I took a trip to Vancouver Island. We visited Sara's parents in their beautiful new home in Qualicum Beach; spent a day at Sproat Lake; played tennis (poorly) for the first time in a year; had a great evening with our friends in Coombs, Heather and Wes and their awesome dogs Cedar and Dingo; visited our nephew Kai and his parents on our way to the ferry terminal; and enjoyed spending way too much time at the ferry terminal waiting to get on the ferry to Vancouver, as BC Ferries had technical issues all day (this last part was of course sarcastic).
