In May, Sara and I spent a week in Tofino, a beautiful village on the west coast of Vancouver Island. We rented a small cottage near our favourite beach, Chesterman, and spent the week relaxing and enjoying ourselves. We had a great time with our nephew Kai and his parents that came to visit for a couple of days; went on a Tidal Bear Watching tour; friends from Coombs came by for a day; enjoyed long walks on the beaches and hikes in the Pacific Rim National Park with our dog Jade; and visited the Big Tree Trail on Meares Island that features some of the tallest trees in British Columbia. An awesome week.
