After 3 days of uninterrupted contact with water, our hardwood floor was permanently damaged and had to be removed from the ground floor. Luckily, our main living room floor wasn't impacted by this event. The new hardwood floor was installed during our renovation project back in October 2009.
In the following days, the bathroom floor will also need to be removed as it sustained water damage as well. In a week or two, once the underground drainage system issue has been resolved and the concrete slab is completely dry, we will be able to start the restoration process.

How horrible! What caused it?

PermalinkLots of rain and an issue with the underground drainage system saturated the concrete slab on the lower floor.

PermalinkJusqu'à présent non... c'est l'parquet qu'on a installé il y a 3 ans qui s'est tout pris dans la tronche... mais bon, c'est du post-comique tout ça...
